Ham&Cheese rolls (火腿芝士卷)
This quick snack is an absolute no-brainer to prepare. But hey, sometimes you really only have is 5 minutes to impress your hungry surprise guests…
Ingredients
- Cooked ham (火腿)
- Cheese slices (芝士片)
- 1 pack of Pate brisee ()
Preparation
Do you really need instructions for this? Well… go to Carrefour (either Gubei 古北 or Zhongshan Park 中山公园) and buy one pack of Pate brisee. At home, roll out the Pate, cover it with slices of ham and cheese. Just don’t use too much cheese or you will have a hard time cleaning your oven later. Roll up the pate so you have a sausage-shaped Pate-brisee-thingy. Use a fork to poke lots of holes into your thingy - If you don’t do that you will later rather cook than bake your roll and it won’t be crispy.
Preheat oven to about 180 degrees and bake for about 10 minutes. Take out the roll and let it cool down. Cut it into small pieces and serve. Bon appetite!
