Taiwan style “San Bei Ji” (台湾风味三杯鸡)
A classic Taiwanese specialty. If you translate “San bei ji” it means something like “Three cups chicken”. Its name is coming from the way it is prepared, using three cups of different special sauces to cook it. The original recipe can be found below - Bon appetite!

- About 10 pieces of garlic (蒜头)
- Ginger (4-5 pcs) (葁)
- 500g chicken (鸡肉)
- Sesame oil (芝麻油)
- 100ml of rice wine (米酒)
- 4 spoons of Soy sauce (酱油)
- Fresh basil leaves (罗勒, 九层塔)

Peel garlic and cut ginger into pieces. Heat up sesame oil in wok pan and carefully fry garlic for about 30 seconds. Add ginger, stir and fry for another 2 minutes. Finally add chicken meat and fry for another 2 minutes.
Add rice wine and soy sauce. Close wok pan and cook 10-15 minutes at middle heat.
Finally add basil leaves, stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
