Easy yeast leavened bread
An easy and tasty pastry you will 100% succeed in baking at the first attempt. Great for breakfast and coffee or can be served with any main dish.
Ingredients
- 500g flour (面粉)
- One pack of dried yeast or 1/2 cube of fresh yeast (酵母)
- 50g soft butter or magarine (unsalted) (黄油/)
- 40g castor sugar (食糖)
- 1 small egg (鸡蛋)
- 1/2 pack vanille sugar (香草糖)
- 140ml milk (牛奶)
- 140ml water (水)
- One dash of salt (食盐)
- Raisins (葡萄干)
- Almond (杏仁片)
Preparation
Sieve flour into a bowl. Add yeast, butter, sugar, vanille sugar, salt, egg, milk and water. Disperse for about 5 minutes. Shortly before the end, add raisins as much as you like. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes in a warm place, cover bowl with a plastic foil before
Disperse dough again for about 1 minute, then beat it to remove all air from inside. Divide into 3 parts of equal size and form 3 long rolls of equal length from it. Then create a pigtail-shaped loaf of bread.
Put grease on a baking pan, put dough inside and let it rest for another 30 minutes. Prepare some egg yolk, put egg yolk on top with a baking brush. Cover bread with almond.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes. The bread is finished when it develops a nice light brown color on top.
